Another piece I produced at the start of the year and finally found time to print it as a poster. Sold out now but hopefully there will be a few more soon.

Been a while since Ive posted it seems and there is so much work to post. These are some BMX decals I did at the start of the year, yes they are that old now. The tops or the images are odd because they are transparent and kinda blend/taper into the rest of the bike frame.

The Coppolas version of Dracula has to be one of my favourite. The old school effects and stage like quality of the scenes make it a classic in my mind. I know Keanue is an arguable character in the film but lets not let that spoil it for us. I was thrilled to be asked my Fright Fest Originals to produce a poster for the film and try something beautiful instead of obvious. I hope I've succeded. You can but the poster, limited edition of only 50 from here: http://

I was lucky enough recently to be asked to contribute to a Black Sabbath show where a number of artists were asked to pick a song and interpret it. I picked Sweet Leaf as it was the first Sabbath song I ever heard and the cough at the beginning made it for me. I was lucky to be amongst a few of the best artists in the UK and in a great UK gallery. Thank you to Chris and his gang and thank you to all who came I had a great night meeting you all. The poster is on sale at: FLOOD GALLERY

I had another chance to work with my friends over at Bottleneck and this time it was the awesome idea of Glow In The Dark. After thinking about the colour of GID and what else was that colour I easliy arrived at the conclusion of aliens and predators. Jo at bottleneck and working tirelessly with our friends at Vallhal print studios came up with the idea of doing a varient: one with the predator which is very limited and the other as a whole glow in the dark piece. I hope you like them.

I started this project about a year ago and am happy to finally finish. The process is called dry point printing and is one of the more time consuming of the techniques. I had been planning to make a video of me screen printing for some time now and thanks to being in a studio where there are many people with many trades I was able to get this documented. I hope the music doesn't make you too sad ;D Available from the store now. Limited edition of 23.

Im not really into to but remembered how much I love Hardware (one of my recommended films) so jumped at the chance of doing this for the guys. I'd love to work with them more in the future. I love their stuff: https://soundcloud.com/unionrecs

I recently had the brief to draw a nice pic of the head of Medusa. If you didn't know the real story of Medusa its one of disgusting behavior by the gods; caught being raped by Poseidon, Athena changed her into a horrific creature so ugly she would turn men into stone by her gaze alone. Gods have never been kind or wise. Ive seen many a picture of Medusa but I always wondered whilst not directly looking how a clean cut was achieved, by luck maybe?

I had another chance by the Bottleneck Gallery to produce a piece on the only zombie film I rate by any standards; Return of the Living Dead. I thought about making a montage as most artists do of a film, or picking out a singular item or character or scene as I like to do, but I thought about what was it that haunted my mind and it was finally the video case in the shop that stayed with me all those years: a parody, a homage, I don't care what you want to call it or what I need to call it- I was just happy to do it. I love working with Disturbia they always let me do what I want and get the best out of me. Its easy drawing something someone suggests and sometimes boring, but try drawing for yourself and it gets serious and your head is on the block. I think Frank has realised this and is using it to get the best stuff out of me. I have been working on this idea for over a year or so now and was happy Frank let me do it, not many clients are eager to do something new. Thanks Frank

This is one of those designs I had wanted to do for some time but every time I sent the sketch to a band or clothing label they sent it back and didn't like it, finally some one picked it up but by then I had also decided to do it as a poster too.

Nice to be back working with friends again and to be working on one of my favorite films for a second time. After they gave me Blade Runner I couldnt imagine what could top it, untill they suggested Alien. I hadn't given the film much thought in years and didnt even get caught up in the hype with the new Prometheus film, seeing it a separate from the originals, but after being asked to produce the poster watched them all again. As a result this poster was born and I will tell ya'll why.
I like the first film the most above and beyond all the others, it was and is the greatest of them all. The style and seminal film making is beyond words so I wont even try...But I will say this: the alien is nothing without Ripley. Without her the alien is at best a cool looking monster in a long line of cool looking monsters, stylized, different, scary, but just another monster. Ripley is the one that defines the beast, without her its just an emotionless monster to be feared but its through Ripley we learn about its threat to humanity, its unfeeling nature, its soul purpose is to destroy...us. Its Ripley that reflects everything we need to know and fear about the monster and she is there throughout; stood side by side warning others, protecting others, giving birth to it and ultimately being part of it "I'm the monsters mother". I have drawn the alien 3 times now and I really wanted this to be different so with all I believed about the films I tried to show in this poster: Ripley and the monster are one. Without each other the films are nothing but stereotype, but a strong female heroine that never once loses her femininity up against the creature from the darkness.
I also attempted to use a bit of film knowledge and squeeze the monster up against the frame to try and create a sense of unease and claustrophobia. I was very nervous about doing it and wondered if anyone would question it being so tight against the edge. In films if the character in shot has no 'looking space' the shot tends to feel claustrophobic, given that the Ridley Scott had created this vibe for the entire film and for the set of the Nostromo was meant to feel that way too I thought I would attempt it. I hope you think it works.
Or if all of this sounds like bullshit arty farty stuff I can just say I wanted to draw a cool Alien poster.
P.S. For the nerds that spotted it- well done; the Alien is from Aliens yet the title says Alien. This is because its a double bill so mixed the two up. P.P.S. For the uber-nerds you may have spotted that they type face I used at the top is the exact type face that was used for the ships computer 'mother'. 10 points to Gryffydor if you spotted that.

Old piece for Chelsea Grin. Was originally going to print it as a poster but forgot all about it. I just really wanted to try something with glowy eyes and had the idea for ages and this was great chance to try some old techniques with some new ideas.

A recent drawing I did for a client released as a limited edition 2 colour poster. I love taking time away from the computer to make these posters, something physical to smell and taste and hold and its great to see your own work printed as I so rarely get to see any of my work printed. All posters are sold out now- I usually put a few APs out now and then if there are any available though.

I have so much work I haven't posted, I am slowly getting through it all. I was considering a new poster soon and stumbled across this. I am still in love with the use of beads and jewels and haven't quite nailed it personally but I feel I will soon. For now I hope you enjoy this.

Its been a long while since working with Greg and jumped at the chance to do so. Gregs line Miles To Go is one of the best lines out there for uncompromised ethos and vision; his love of reading is unparallelled, maybe by only those I do not know. Greg asked me to pick some of my favourite books so I chose: Notes From The House Of the Dead (which is my own bastardized version of the many names its been published as) by Fyodor Dostoevsky and The Metamorphosis by Franz Kafka which I have to admit is a book I have started many many times and never finished mainly to it being too depressing for me. Either way go visit Miles To Go for some amazing designs by some amazing artists based on some great reads: Miles To Go

Mycelia approached me to do a 'space scene' and I loved the idea. Having already tackled it in a study I did both for a screen printing exercise and Sonisphere festival I felt I would like to revisit the idea. Its a pretty popular idea but that should never stop you from doing anything, ask Johnny Cash (NINs Hurt). I loved using a famous and much loved photo as a reference and obvious nod then putting a GM skull inside, and a big thrill using all those space brushes I had been saving for years.

As I set to work on the last of the new Disturbia range I realise I have yet to post out last seasons work. I love working with these guys and you are probably sick of hearing me say it, but tough. I love Franks ideas and how he allows me to get on with it, I always seem to do some of my best work for him.
I love this one- Disturbia are well know for 'Subverting popular culture', and with this piece Frank send me a clip of a music video he loved from a while back of this skull pilot. This pilot though is on a mission from logic and religion is trying to thwart his efforts!!
For this piece Frank suggested this idea of 'a magpie collecting jewels and bones, I jumped at the chance and nearly bit his fingers off to let me do a one colour piece like my posters. Which we also planned to do, and did, and came out great.
Ft this one Frank talked about Ophelia and I was nervous at first at how to approach this; from the side, from an angle, from above, how to show water with a limited colour palette etc. I stayed away from textures on this one and left it alone figuring it needed some grace.

Its been a long time since I took pen to paper. A while back I found this Chinese book with all the pages falling out, the book fascinated me and I considered it for a long time. I decided to stain the pages and see if I could draw on then. With a chai tea and a fine line pen I have been enjoying making this small pictures for a few months now. Here is just one of them, the rest can be found in the store.

Had an email from a great band in Jo-Burg a while back to create an album cover, After a few discussions we arrived at something that wasnt so 'city' as we thought this may be too obvious, but we still put the Jo-burg skyline in the background and talked about the animals in Africa. Good guys and great band. The spaces on the cover are for more text which we put on later.
